Hi Everyone!
I'll be doing my best to help out where I can in the UK. Any questions please fire away and I will do my best to answer them. I'm quite new to crochet and so any questions of that nature please feel free to jump in and answer if you know!
Looking forward to chatting with you all!

Hi Kerry,
I don't knit but I've been crocheting on and off for over 40 years although I'm not sure that necessarily makes me an expert. But if I can help with anything I'd be happy to try.

Hi, am a keen but not very skilled knitter, stick to mainly hats, scarves etc, squares and making toys for Toys for Trauma, mostly from Jean Greenhowe patterns. I knit for Loving Hands charity in the UK and have sent in several packs of squares to Square Circle. Will answer any questions that I can.

Hi guys! - elainejones, Ella, beacon3]
Thanks for the offer of help on answering questions! Most appricated. Lets see what we get =)
Out of curiosity, how are most people posting their squares? I started with 2 a time in a A5 envelope. I'm having to now send A4 jiffy bags because I have way too many to send 2 at a time! Anyone having any trouble with it or is everyone finding the UK postage ok?

Hi. I just discovered the Knit a square page. And I hope to get started knitting my first square today. I live in Norway and I will try to inform other knitters in Norway about knit a square, and I hope we will be sending lots of squares from Norway soon.

Online source of good value wool... www.kempswoolshop.com/wool_specials.aspxThey do sometimes post the wrong colour (based on the experience of my knitting pals and me), but they are good about it if you phone to complain. I thought people might be looking for bargains to makes squares with. Moderators please move this if I posted in the wrong place.

The hats link has only just gone up so I'm not sure on that one yet. I'm hoping to catch up on a few things this weekend. I'll see what I can find out for you

Basically, as long as they are kept moisture free that's fine and everything goes to the same address: Soweto Comfort Club. Sandy

Bernadette Hello Bernadette, welcome from France, I must put you and Monica (welcome from Norway, Monica) on the map. (knit-a-square heroes page). Perhaps Bernadette, for now you could just send the squares 3 at a time over some months. i will put up a post now about how to form a depot where squares can be sent to in England and ask for everyone's ideas on that. Thanks Sandy
