Thank you, kmouse! I had a hard time with the popcorn heart crochet pattern that was posted on the site (I'm a tight crocheter) so I adapted it into a cross stitch pattern instead! I can absolutely post it if you're interested.

Way to go everybody! High fives Paulette, you've sent an entire blanket of squares for some lucky little one and a cute hat and two warm vests. Definitely put your feet up and have a cuppa! Somebody else will be busy knitting or crocheting while you relax and think of other things for awhile.

Ive been off with a knitting injury (on my way to carpal tunnel if I'm not careful,) but its so frustrating to see all those balls of yarn and have to tell myself not to touch them! I havent knitted in three days now, but I feel like its not a great loss when I read these numbers climbing up and up every day.
I have 57 right now, and I think I'll pick up the needles again tomorrow - my wrists feel back to normal. Will take it slow and listen to them if they get sore again.
We need an update so that we can see if we are up to one blanket a day yet. We may be, as there are people joining the challenge all the time, in three forms.

Heart Pattern: www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=2949792&l=935dffb22a&id=712710539My 8" square is 26 stitches across, 16 rows of each colour (32 rows total). Use whatever amount of even stitches for the width and even rows for the height. Centre the pattern on your square and "cross-stitch" the design by making an X over each single crochet. Hopefully this makes sense and the link works...

Wasn't it 40 eight inch squares to a blanket? As for the tops, if this is what you mean, two 10 inch squares sewn together, with arm and neck holes, make a top. Hope that helps.

The blankets are being made in different sizes to maximise distribution. I believe it is 12 for a baby, 20 for a small child and 30 for a larger one.

Posting knitting injury prevention advice today ot the site (Sunday). A must read. We definitely do not want any long term injuries (or even short term for that matter) as a result of contributing to the project, got to keep you fit to keep you knitting and crocheting! Sandy
