Guidelines
--
The knit-a-square.com forum is another kind of Square Circle. It will let all the amazing people around the world who support the cause to converse. Even better it will allow them to see and hear the results of their work.
The vast majority of people will know that common courtesy is the preferred behavior in any forum. The knit-a-square forum is no different. In case anyone is unfamiliar with the internet or communicating online, here are a few simple guidelines for posting your contributions.
As in life, treating others as you would like to be treated is an excellent principle.
• An absolute no-no is posting personal information about another person posting that can in any way identify them. This can lead to a permanent ban on most forums.
• You are perfectly entitled to disagree or express a difference of opinion with another person posting. But flaming or abusive, insulting or foul language should also be avoided at all times.
• Scrolling, or posting the same thing repeatedly, is also a bannable offence
• Most forums consider posts in ALL CAPITALS to be shouting and therefore offensive. It’s also very hard to read which is why nearly all text is always in upper and lower case. You can, however, capitalise a word or phrase for emphasis.
• Most forums recommend your adopt a reasonable and mature voice at all times, even in the face of offensive behaviour. If you feel you are being harshly treated by a fellow poster, you can always cut and paste the post/s in question to the moderator.
Best wishes and happy posting.
