Hey guys! You may have heard in the last ezine about Ten Thousand Homes! They have asked us to help them out by providing items for particular children. Vests, hats and blankets are all needed. If you want to dedicate some of your squares towards a blanket feel free to! We will make this work. Please e-mail sandy & let her know who you would like to stitch for and what and we will give you more information. Click this link to see the names of these well deserving children & speak for those you would love to stitch for! www.knit-a-square.com/charity-for-children-list.html ;D

While I don't want to take away from the basic need for the 8x8 squares for the blankets for the millions, I do think this is heartwarming. One question--as vests, hats and blankets definitely would be clothing, do we send just one at a time, mark it "gift" and "NCV"? I was wondering, they talk about specific items for the kids. Do they not have the postal tax issues the Soweto ladies do? I love the kids being individually listed. It gives me such a need to help one of them. I am presuming you give us needed blanket sizes, hat and vest sizes when we contact you. This is a wonderful idea and I am still very enthused to help with this. I truly hope to be in this project for the long haul.
