This has been bugging me so here it is. They asked us to make squares and in our enthusiasm we're also now looking at hats and tops (which the Post Office taxes). I was going to make the crochet square top, which is a basic rectangle folded in half, or two 10 inch squares, then sewn together to make shoulder and side seams, and wondered how we are to mark an envelope with that in it? If I say "crocheted squares only" I am lying. Yet if I say "clothing" won't they be taxed for that? Ditto the hats? Just concerned we don't give more than what was originally asked for and then get the Post Office over there mad or something and they'd start refusing anything crocheted or knitted. Are we truly allowed to send clothing and how should it be marked?

I personally would just mark it 'knitted item' and on the sticker when you write the customs stuff put 'NCV' in the value bit. Should be fine getting through. I know they have been receiving pieces of clothing ok so far & not had to pay tax.
