Whoo hoooo! I struck gold today! 4 balls of 100% wool in a charity shop for £2.50! YAY I love buying my wool for this project from charity shops because its like a charity double whammy! We have quite a few charity shops in town so I like to try and do a lap of all of them to check and see if anything new has come in! Today's lucky winner was St Luke's Hospice; www.stlukeshospice.com/

I must try this. We've only got one in town, the Salvation Army runs it, they might have something. But the garage sales will start up soon, I can hardly wait! I got out to the sheep farm finally and did I ever score! I got 6 skeins of 100% 2 ply (worsted weight) wool, 113g/4 oz. for $4.25 each. One in a bright cheery purple, two in bright lemon yellow and three in blindingly bright "hunter's orange". These will be cheery squares. I expect to have to crochet the orange ones with my sunglasses on!!! I can't wait to wind the skeins into balls and get started! I was expecting subdued colours so I'm really thrilled to have gotten these. So it came to about $25 (12.50 pounds Brit money I think). I don't mind as we just got paid and now I've got a REALLY good reason to say to the charities that phone, "sorry I already gave this month!" The sheep gave it to me, now I give it to the kids, gotta love that!
