Hi Everyone
We are having our first knit-a-square-on-the-goday on Saturday May the 2nd.
Three separate countries are holding a knit-a-square-on-the-go event. Canada, South Africa and Australia.
Kyla has a table at the Port Credit High School, Mississauga, Canada from 9am to 3pm.
Erin is a holding her knit-a-square-on-the-go event at her house and involving lots of family and friends.
Sandy and I and our family have a marquee at the Ivanhoe Fiesta, Upper Heidelberg Road, Ivanhoe from 9am.
Please come and show your support for knit-a-square, knit a few rows, have a chat and spread the word to the people of Melbourne, Johannesburg and Toronto about the need to keep children who are affected by AIDS in South Africa warm.
Or alternatively hold your own knit-a-square-on-the-go event. It doesn’t take much, just a table, some knitting needles, wool and a lot of enthusiasm for this project!
Next year we will hold this event on March 28 to coincide with the first blanket given to our young disabled AIDS orphan, Jamey and we hope then that we will have several hundred towns and cities around the world involved.
I’ll be in touch soon, thanks all.
